without warranty of any kind. By using Shakespeare AI, you acknowledge
and accept the risks associated with AI-generated content and agree to
use the service at your own risk.
1. Acceptance of Terms
By accessing or using Shakespeare AI ("the Service"), you agree to be
bound by these Terms of Service ("Terms"). If you do not agree to these
Terms, you may not use the Service.
2. Description of Service
Shakespeare AI is an OpenAI-compatible AI provider that offers access to
large language models through a REST API. The Service uses Nostr NIP-98
authentication and operates on a credit-based billing system for premium
models.
3. Open Source Software
Shakespeare AI is open source software licensed under the GNU Affero
General Public License version 3 (AGPLv3). The software is provided
under the following license terms:
Shakespeare AI is free software: you can redistribute it and/or modify
it under the terms of the GNU Affero General Public License as published
by the Free Software Foundation, either version 3 of the License, or (at
your option) any later version. Shakespeare AI is distributed in the
hope that it will be useful, but WITHOUT ANY WARRANTY; without even the
implied warranty of MERCHANTABILITY or FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE.

4. No Warranty
In accordance with the AGPLv3 license, THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED
"AS IS" WITHOUT WARRANTY OF ANY KIND, either express or
implied, including but not limited to:
- Warranties of merchantability
- Fitness for a particular purpose
- Non-infringement
- Accuracy or reliability of AI-generated content
- Continuous availability of the service
5. Use at Your Own Risk
You acknowledge and agree that:

inappropriate. You are solely responsible for evaluating
and verifying any content generated by the Service.

technical issues, or other factors beyond our control.

6. Limitation of Liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, Shakespeare AI and its
contributors shall not be liable for any direct, indirect, incidental,
special, consequential, or punitive damages resulting from:
- Your use or inability to use the Service

7. User Responsibilities

8. Payment and Credits
For premium models that require credits:
- Credits are non-refundable once purchased
- Credit balances do not expire

Payment processing is handled by third-party providers (Stripe,
Lightning Network)

We are not responsible for payment processing failures or disputes
9. Privacy and Data
We respect your privacy and handle data in accordance with Nostr
principles:
- Authentication is handled via Nostr NIP-98 signatures
- We do not store traditional account information or passwords

API requests and responses may be logged for operational purposes
- We do not sell or share personal data with third parties
10. Service Modifications
We reserve the right to:
- Modify or discontinue the Service at any time
- Update these Terms of Service
- Change pricing or credit requirements
- Implement usage limits or restrictions
11. Termination
We may terminate or suspend your access to the Service at any time, with
or without notice, for any reason, including violation of these Terms.
12. Governing Law
These Terms are governed by the laws applicable to the AGPLv3 license.
Any disputes shall be resolved in accordance with the license terms and
applicable law.

making decisions based on AI output. The service is provided as a public
utility without warranty or guarantee of any kind.
